"I am a patient at Diaverum Dialysis Centre at Tampines II and I wish to express my deepest appreciation and gratitude to the Nurse Manager Mdm Vilma and another staff member Mr Joshua Goh. Both of them were a great help to me in accommodating me and lifting my spirits when I contracted Covid-19 last month. Due to the illness, I was depressed and in a lot of pain. My situation was made bearable by Mr Joshua’s effort to speak to me and counsel me when I was having my dialysis. Mdm Vilma also counseled me and arranged for my dialysis. In addition to their efforts to lift my spirits while I was Covid positive, these two staff also met my request to have my treatments earlier than my scheduled time so that I would be able to attend special prayers at my sister’s house. I would have missed it if I were to attend dialysis treatment at my usual timing. To accommodate to my request, these two staff have to come earlier than their usual duty time. This selfless gesture to accommodate me during Hari Raya means a lot to me and my family. I wish to commend your staff members for their kindness and compassion."
"I started my dialysis at Tampines centre since June 2012 and up to date, I am satisfied with the staffs’ performance. I would specially like to mention that on Monday when Michelle attended to me and the "clip" snapped. Immediately, she improvised one by using a clip from the blood line to replace the original clip. This improvisation won praises from Terence Kee, when I consulted on the same day. I feel that such action should be commended as Terence and I were told by the radiographer that there were no spare clips available. This has helped me avoid another line being inserted."

FAQ

To ensure you receive proper care and treatment, we would require you to bring the following, where applicable:

  • Referral form (enclosed, to be endorsed by renal medical officer and above), if any
  • Dialysis prescription
  • Dialysis flowsheet of last 3 sessions
  • Recent blood tests with serological results (e.g. for Hepatitis B)
  • Other relevant medical information (e.g. discharge, medication list etc)

Remember your kidneys used to clean your blood 24 hours a day, 7 days a week! When you skip treatments, extra fluid will need to be removed when you go back for dialysis and this may make your next treatment harder on yourself.

If you feel unwell on your dialysis day and feel unfit for treatment, you should seek for immediate medical attention and make a call to the clinic to inform them with regards to your condition.

If you have a planned medical appointment outside of the clinic and you need to change your dialysis treatment time for that day, you should let the clinic Head Nurse know in advance and give them as much notice as possible. We strongly advise that you should arrange all medical appointments on a non-dialysis day.

Wear comfortable clothes that allow easy entry to your access site (e.g. Short sleeve tops). You can also bring a blanket for your own use during treatment as it may get cold.
